Max Skills and All Perks: A Simple Mod to Boost Your Character in Skyrim

Skyrim lets PC players change just about anything in the game engine whenever they like with console commands. This includes changing values like physics modifiers, the speed of time passing, toggling god mode or no clip, and of course using "cheats" to power-level a character. When it comes to using Skyrim console commands for Perk points, there is more than one option.

Updated April 30, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Skyrim wouldn't quite be the same without its incredibly user-friendly means of accessing the developer console. Here, players can change a variety of aspects of the game, but unfortunately there is no way to directly add Perk points without leveling up something else first. When it comes to how to add Perk points Skyrim offers two workarounds to this obstacle: leveling up skills to max individually, or cheating in Perks directly without leveling up at all. These two methods detailed below are the most direct ways of getting Perk points, though it is worth mentioning that there are some mods for Skyrim that make the process of unlocking the Perks you want much easier in less game-breaking ways.

This page includes PC Console Commands and Cheats for the PC/Steam version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It has been updated to include Skyrim Special Edition and Anniversary Editions. Console Commands are an essential tool that players can use to enter cheats into the game. To enter Skyrim cheats into the PC Commands Console, hit (or the key above Tab) to bring up the developer console, and enter these codes for the desired effect. Console commands are NOT case-sensitive.

For example, to add the Sneaking perk 'Silent Roll,' enterplayer.addperk 105F23 into the command console. While the skill will turn gray in the skills menu (normally indicating that you are under-level for the desired perk), you will still be able to utilize it's abilities. Alternatively, you could pre-empt this process by using the player.setlevel ##

No, there is no console command that allows you to change how many perk points you have. You either need to give yourself perks directly, as in Kaizerwolf's answer, or use a mod to adjust your perk points.

If you have the Deadly Dragons mod, you can give yourself dragon souls in the console, and then use the mod to convert them to perk points. If you want two more perk points, give yourself ten dragon souls with player.modav dragonsouls 10, and then use the Deadly Dragons mod configuration menu to convert the souls to perk points (if you kept the default conversion rate of 5 dragon souls per perk point).

On the upside, however, is this: addperk . By specifying the perk ID, which can be found online, you can just give yourself the perks you want. As the UESP's example goes, you would type the following into the console:

So today I learned that if you use console command (using sneak as example)1.Player.setav sneak 1002.Exit command screen then open again3.Player.Setav sneak 04.Exit command screen and crouch until hidden. Your sneak skill will advance to 100. Okay, so "cheating" is frowned upon in games, but this mod doesn't use bots to drag down networks or anything like that. It simply enables the player to carry tons of stuff and craft all kinds of things.

With that in mind, we bring you Skyrim cheat mods that we found the most fun to use. Some of them are straight-up cheats, while others give you so much power that they might as well be considered as such.

Sacred ring of Jeebus is similar to the rings of power cheat mod. It is, however, only one ring with three variants of varying power levels. A lite ring version boosts your health, magic, stamina, and skills by a moderate amount of 100% so as not to be too overpowered. The second one takes it up a notch by boosting the same by 500% to almost get you to that god mode level of power. To top it all off, the last version of the ring is total overkill. It adds water breathing, reduces shout cooldown and boosts all your stats by a whopping 10000%. Translation: super god mode engaged!

Hybrid is an insanely fun cheat mod that grants you all sorts of roleplaying opportunities. In short, with it, you can become both vampire and werewolf and you can customize the experience as much as you like. You can choose to become both with all the advantages and disadvantages of each form. But, you can also choose to become both with a boost to your powers and none of the disadvantages. The mod also comes with all sorts of bonus spells, weapons, clothing and much more to let you roleplay the ultimate vampwolf.

While technically not filed under Skyrim cheat mods, it might as well be. Unlimited conjuration mod replaces the Twin Souls perk with the Soulmaster perk. This essentially enables you to become the ultimate summoner, able to have entire legions of different creatures at your command. Finally, you can have an army of your own in the Skyrim civil war and squash both sides into submission. We highly recommend using the mod with Warzones 2015 mod to have the ultimate battlefield experience.

Another spell mod that might as well be filed under cheat mods. Not only will it give you access to some pretty unique and powerful spells and powers like soul ripper, fists of Epirus and speeding bullet but will also net you some pretty awesome weapons and armor. Literally everything in this mod is god tier and will allow you to make enemy NPC into your playthings. Have fun!

Many of these console commands require specifying an NPC or item or place with a reference number. If you're specifying an item or NPC in front of you, click on them while you've brought up the console to get their code immediately. Skyrim player cheats can set different values for your Dragonborn. You can change your level, your face, your carry weight, and a bunch of other things. For commands that require an item or NPC ID, check our linked lists above.

To use cheat codes, you need to access the console. The default console key is tilde (). Once you are in console mode, you can type the commands below and press ENTER. The quantity can usually be set to whatever you want. I use 100 as an example.

Use Eremite Meditation Rug for 6 seconds or more to improve stamina, no-armor, and choice of magicka, weapon, or brawl skills for limited time. Stamina increase always granted, but no-armor and combat bonuses limited to after 8 hours and only when meditating without armor. Unlock Survival Sleep and Meditation perk to further improve skills during meditation. Using the rug without armor increases Eremite perk progress once per calendar (game) day.

Earn perk points by sleeping 7+ hours in warm shelter, surviving combat without armor, or fighting unarmed. If no damage taken then combat round must last at least 18 minutes game-time (about a minute). Points for combat is a flat rate no matter how many times your character lands a hit or takes damage, but double points for fighting unarmed and without armor. Double points may also be given for very long combat duration.

Earning all 15 perks expected to take 6 game-months at a rate of a new perk every 10 to 16 game-days for character sleeping in warm shelter nearly each night. Starting with zero perks, the first perk earned at double rate. So new character should earn Craft 1 perk between day 7 and day 10. For armored characters only earning points for sleep, it takes 14 days per perk (7 for the first).

Eremite perk progression designed to take most of the adventure, or about 6 game months to obtain all perks. For this reason, when starting Eremite at higher levels the character may be granted one or two starting perk points. Expect a new perk every 7-16 game days assuming warm tent sleep nearly each night. My armored archer character, occasionally fighting without armor, obtained first perk on the 10th day and by level 22 had 3 perks. My no-armor mage, without using meditation, obtained 7 perks by level 42.
